Feature and Follow Friday #261

Welcome to the Feature & Follow

Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers -- but you have to know -- the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee's View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it'll allow us to show off more new blogs!

How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools -- keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them "hi" in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!

What sets this Hop apart from others, is our Feature. Each week we will showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Who is our Feature today? Find out below. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow our Features and ayou must follow the hosts (Parajunkee & Alison Can Read) as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. A lot of blogs are transitioning to Wordpress in which they do not have the luxury of GFC, so an RSS subscription is appreciated or if you choose an email subscription. If you don't have GFC please state in your post how you would like to be followed.

How To Become a Featured Blog?

We pick our featured blogs randomly each week from the blogs who participated the week before.

Please be sure to feature your e-mail address clearly on your blog. Either on the main blog, on a Contact page, or on an About Me page. If I can't find your email easily, I will choose a different blog to feature.

Our Feature - Let Me Be Fictional

1. When did you start blogging?

I started blogging in June 2014. I learned many things since then. Due to some reasons I couldn't devout much time to blogging. But, I'm trying now.

2. What is your favorite part of book blogging?

You get to know authors and book bloggers. You make new friends who loves to read and fangirl with you about their book boyfriends.

3. What type of books do you mainly blog about?

I mainly blog about MG/YA and YA/MG books. I love Young Adult genre because it has strong protagonists. Honestly, I have learned so much from reading YA books.

4. What are your favorite books?

Harry Potter Series, Bloodlines Series by Richelle Mead, Dracula by Bram Stoker, The Hunger Games Series, Twelfth Night by Shakespeare, Black Beauty and many more.

5. What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?

I became friends with some lovely authors and bookish people. Being a blogger, I get a chance to read books before they're published. I get to know that book photography is a thing and there is always tough competition on instagram for bookstagrams .Book community is awesome.

Question of the Week: You can only eat one cuisine type for the rest of your life. Which would you choose? (E.g. Italian, French, Greek, Mexican, Chinese, Indian etc…) - Suggested by Journey Through Fiction.

That's such a hard choice. I love all different kinds of food. Trying foods from different parts of the world is one of my favorite pasttimes and probably my favorite activity when I travel.

If I had to pick one, I think it would be a hard choice between Indian and Japanese. Indian would be a particularly good choice, because it's such a varied cuisine that I could still eat loads of different foods. Japanese would feel very familiar. My husband lived in Japan off and on for several years, so we've visited there and I've incorporated a lot of the dishes into my regular cooking.

How about you?

Now for the Follow Fun!

With GFC going the way of the dodo bird for many bloggers, there is no better time to start following blogs via RSS feed. If you use a reader, it would be great if you followed my RSS directly.

  2. Heh, I chose sushi for my pick! I've never liked Indian food outside home, mostly bc my mom's cooking is the best :) But I grew up with South African Indian cooking which is different as well.

  6. Never really had either of those myself. I'm limited in my food tastes I guess! And when I do eat something, it's really super simple! Like Italian, I'm happy as can be with a plate of spaghetti!

  8. Indian is pretty good, but sometimes too spicy for me. I have a weak tongue I guess! Sushi was something that I picked, even if I can't eat much as a vegetarian! Ha ha!
