Welcome to the Feature & Follow
Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers -- but you have to know -- the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.
The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee's View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it'll allow us to show off more new blogs!
How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools -- keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them "hi" in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!
What sets this Hop apart from others, is our Feature. Each week we will showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Who is our Feature today? Find out below. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow our Features and ayou must follow the hosts (Parajunkee & Alison Can Read) as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. A lot of blogs are transitioning to Wordpress in which they do not have the luxury of GFC, so an RSS subscription is appreciated or if you choose an email subscription. If you don't have GFC please state in your post how you would like to be followed.
We pick our featured blogs randomly each week from the blogs who participated the week before.
Please be sure to feature your e-mail address clearly on your blog. Either on the main blog, on a Contact page, or on an About Me page. If I can't find your email easily, I will choose a different blog to feature.
Our Feature - Haunted Bookshelf
1. When did you start blogging?
I have been blogging for about 5 years now Haunted Bookshelf is only about 2 months old. This blog is an offshoot of my main book review blog, Keeper Bookshelf. I didn't want to give up my main blog, but did want a more focused on Paranormal novels type blog, so Haunted Bookshelf was born.
2. What is your favorite part of book blogging?
Aside from constantly reading? :) That's an easy one, it's the people, the community. To be surrounded by other folks who share a love of books and talking about them constantly - that's a small piece of Heaven to me.
3. What type of books do you mainly blog about?
On Haunted Bookshelf it's all about the Paranormal, with some Fantasy tossed in. I read just about any type of novel, my interests are vast and diverse. But I've found that within the Paranormal universe I get to read all of my favorite genres as well. A Paranormal Romance novel can be set within a Contemporary Romance or Historical Romance background. So I get a bit of everything when I read Paranormals.
4. What are your favorite books?
Oh, I knew this would get asked - and I have no good answer. My favorite Paranormal is actually a series called Wings in the Night by Maggie Shayne. Full of vampires, it's been going strong since 1993 - so I have to pick that one. But, honestly, my favorite book is usually the one I'm reading right now...which changes constantly.
5. What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?
The people behind the blogs that I meet. Oh, sure, it's a totally online relationship - but I have met some amazing people through our shared love of books. So, for me, it's all about the books and the people.
Question of the Week: Have you ever read a book you thought you'd hate but loved? Or vice versa? - Suggested by A Great Read.
Let's see...I used to have a recurring nightmare where I was being chased. I haven't had that one in a long time. Relatively often, when I'm in that stage between being awake and fully asleep, I have a dream where I fall and then I wake up with a big jump. One of the most vivid dreams I remember (not recurring, but funny) was a dream from when I was 10 and being chased by a dish-towel. It had come to life and was evil. It was so vivid that I even remember the outfit I was wearing.
How about you?

I also used to dream of being chased. But I don't know what or who is chasing me. And I don't remember being scared.
ReplyDeleteNot recurring, but I do remember a dream from long ago very similar to your dishtowel! It was the night before first grade. I had this horrible nightmare that kept me up half the night. I was walking through this swamp land, everything dark and murky. The trees had come to life and had scary faces, their branches reaching out to get me like arms. And all of the little creatures: think animals and bugs that typically freak most people out. And now they're all coming after me. I think I was really afraid to go to first grade!
ReplyDeleteWow that sounds scary, do check out my FF: http://bookstopcorner.blogspot.in/2015/04/feature-follow-7-recurring-dreams.html

Oh wow! Those are some dreams! Especially the dish towel one! Heehee! I rarely remember my dreams and if I do, none have ever been reoccurring. I can't remember if I ever had funny ones. Odd, most were of the nightmare variety are better left forgotten or others were just. SO. WEIRD. (loved that show! LOL)

I never thought I'd had recurring dreams before, but reading some of the answers from other blogs, I guess I have had the recurring dream of flying and of being chased before. I don't like either one of them though. LOL
