Welcome to the Feature & Follow
Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers -- but you have to know -- the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.
The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee's View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it'll allow us to show off more new blogs!
How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools -- keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them "hi" in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!
What sets this Hop apart from others, is our Feature. Each week we will showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Who is our Feature today? Find out below. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow our Features and ayou must follow the hosts (Parajunkee & Alison Can Read) as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. A lot of blogs are transitioning to Wordpress in which they do not have the luxury of GFC, so an RSS subscription is appreciated or if you choose an email subscription. If you don't have GFC please state in your post how you would like to be followed.
We pick our featured blogs randomly each week from the blogs who participated the week before.
Please be sure to feature your e-mail address clearly on your blog. Either on the main blog, on a Contact page, or on an About Me page. If I can't find your email easily, I will choose a different blog to feature.
Our Feature - Diane's Book Blog
1. When did you start blogging?
My first blog actually featured my scrapbooking back on June 10, 2007. I haven't scrapbooked in years, but the blog is still up if you want to check it out at http://dianelynchscrapbooking.blogspot.com/ A lot of my work was published in various books and magazines.
I started Diane's Book Blog after Toni Aleo offered me my first ARC. My initial post was on June 15, 2013.
2. What is your favorite part of book blogging?
I love being able to help out all the various authors by promote their work. It makes me feel like I am giving back to them for the gift of their stories.
I also like the opportunity to get to read and review their books. I have ended up enjoying a lot of books I might have not normally read.
3. What type of books do you mainly blog about?
I primarily blog about Paranormal, Urban Fantasy, Fantasy, Mythology, Sport and Rock Romances.
My favorites are shapeshifter/werewolf and anything involving hockey. The occasional shapeshifter/hockey books are always a bonus and yes, there are a few out there.
The age group doesn’t really matter to me; I’ll read anything from middle school to adult.
4. What are your favorite books?
The Harry Potter Series, especially book seven, Toni Aleo’s Assassin Series, Shelly Laurenston Pride Series (it has hockey playing shifters), Chloe Neill Chicagoland Vampires, J.R. Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood, Gena Showalter Lords of the Underworld Series, Cassandra Clare The Mortal Instruments, Rick Riordan Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus Series, Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark-Hunter, Chronicles of Nick and The League Series.
I’m sure I forgot something. If I’m only allowed to pick one – Harry Potter Book 7.
5. What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?
I would say getting to know so many wonderful authors and fellow bloggers. It's nice knowing there are so many people out there that share my passion for reading.
Question of the Week: Do you have any furry friends? Share a picture! - Suggested by Cornerfolds.
Well, I did just post an interview with my dog Snowbird a few weeks ago. But you can never have enough photos of doggies and kitties. So here are my two fur children. Actually, my one fur child. I think my cat would prefer to be thought of as a roommate.
Snowbird - 8 years old. Basset hound/lab. Rescue:
Ahwatukee (aka Tukee or Tookles) - 11 years old. American shorthair. Rescue:
How about you?

Sugar & Snark
Aww! They're so sweet! Our dogs were rescues too. Though one of them wasn't an "official" rescue, but still my sister inadvertently rescued him from this person who was selling Huskies, but turns out he was only half Husky and when he was a pup he was very malnourished. And I think my sister noticed fleas on him when they picked him up.
ReplyDeleteSo not a Rescue dog, but a dog who was rescued! And the other dog came from Stray Rescue, so he's an "official" one! The white dog that my sister rescued is now my mom's baby! LOL!
He has a big attitude too! Guess he thinks he's more Husky than not!
