Welcome to the Feature & Follow
Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers -- but you have to know -- the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.
The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee's View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it'll allow us to show off more new blogs!
How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools -- keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them "hi" in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!
What sets this Hop apart from others, is our Feature. Each week we will showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Who is our Feature today? Find out below. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow our Features and you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee & Alison Can Read) as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. A lot of blogs are transitioning to Wordpress in which they do not have the luxury of GFC, so an RSS subscription is appreciated or if you choose an email subscription. If you don't have GFC please state in your post how you would like to be followed.
How To Become a Featured Blog?
We pick our featured blogs randomly each week from the blogs who participated the week before. Please be sure to feature your e-mail address clearly on your blog. Either on the main blog, on a Contact page, or on an About Me page. If I can't find your email easily, I will choose a different blog to feature.
Our Feature - The Bookish Confections
1. When did you start blogging?
I started blogging last April 10 this year.
2. What is your favorite part of book blogging?
My favorite part of book blogging is connecting to people who have the same book preferences with me.
3. What type of books do you mainly blog about?
I review and feature Young Adult books or New Adult books mainly. But there's Middle Grade books and Adult (not the erotic ones) books occasionally, depending on the synopsis.
4. What is your favorite book(s)?
Whew. Tough question! The Fault In Our Stars, Before I Fall, Delirium series, Something Like Normal, Pushing the Limits, Colleen Hoover's books, Dear John, Divergent series and more!
5. What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?
I don't really know. It's only been a month and 6 days. But as of now, maybe it's the fact that I'm having this schedule as to what books to read. It keeps me organized in a way. And I'm not like that before. So I guess, thanks to book blogging. :)
Q: School is out! What is your favorite Summer Reading book?
I don't have a particular favorite book to read during the summer. But there are a few authors who write light, sweet contemporary fiction and that's what feels summery to me.
Jen Calonita and Joanna Philbin are two of my favorites. Jennifer E. Smith and Sarah Dessen as well.?
Now for the Follow Fun!
With GFC going the way of the dodo bird for many bloggers, there is no better time to start following blogs via RSS feed. If you use a reader, it would be great if you followed my RSS directly. We have a new button, so update your blogs if you are used to doing this meme!

I love contemps in the Spring/Summer, too. I should really read some Sarah Dessen Books. I've only read Dreamland, which is great, but very sad.
ReplyDeleteI think I would like to try Sarah Dressen sometime, since I have heard good things. I don't read contemps very often, but I am thinking I might want to.
ReplyDeleteOh yes. Sarah Dessen does write really summery books. ;D

Hi Liesel!
DeleteI don't know about you, but I've been on a cheesy romance kick lately... Of course, I like to keep it real by throwing in a little zombie or magic. :p
Sadly, I haven't read any books from your choices. I'm going to go and check these authors out.
ReplyDeleteMarilyn @ Marilyn's Mystery Blog
Yeah, I get what you're saying with the sweet, light feeling. But I'll still try to find winter climate stories in summer, lol. To each their own, haha.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and have a fab weekend! :)
I'm the same way. I don't really read anything special for summer, but sweet contemporary YA seems fitting for it. Jennifer E. Smith is a good pick.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of those authors...I might have to check them out...thanks for stopping by earlier:)

Here's my FF post.
Lots of people are going that way! I use to read Sarah Dessen myself before paranormal reads were more readily available to me! Ever since then I haven't gone back to contemps! Hope you have some good summer reads!

I kinda associate Harry Potter books with summer, because I remember two (maybe three)of them being released in the summer.... walking out to the mailbox to get my packages from Amazon.... staying up late to finish them!

Hi! I'm a new #FF. I didn't see any code for your button but I found it on Parajunkee, however when I copy and paste it I just get a broken picture. So I'm sorry if you visit my page and the picture isn't up there, I can't figure out what's wrong.

I know I'm super late, but it's been a busy week. When I did re-read more a few years back I loved All-American Girl by Meg Cabot, I would reread it multiple times a year lol.
