Welcome to the Feature & Follow
Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers -- but you have to know -- the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.
The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee's View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it'll allow us to show off more new blogs!
How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools -- keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them "hi" in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!
What sets this Hop apart from others, is our Feature. Each week we will showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Who is our Feature today? Find out below. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow our Features and you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee & Alison Can Read) as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. A lot of blogs are transitioning to Wordpress in which they do not have the luxury of GFC, so an RSS subscription is appreciated or if you choose an email subscription. If you don't have GFC please state in your post how you would like to be followed.
How To Become a Featured Blog?
We pick our featured blogs randomly each week from the blogs who participated the week before. Please be sure to feature your e-mail address clearly on your blog. Either on the main blog, on a Contact page, or on an About Me page. If I can't find your email easily, I will choose a different blog to feature.
Our Feature -Escapism From Reality
1. When did you start blogging?
I started blogging on and off last year, but have been doing so seriously since that last 6 months.
2. What is your favorite part of book blogging?
I love expressing my views and thoughts about my passion in life. I can be myself and and my blog is my own little corner where I can gush and fan girl as much as I want. I also get to meet so many bloggers who have been great and supportive throughout.
3. What is your favorite book(s)?
This is going to become such a long list that I will only mention the type of books I read which is mainly Fantasy, Dystopia, PNR, Urban Fantasy, Historical Romance and YA.
4. What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?
I recently received a paper ARC from a publisher which was the first time I ever received one. I was really pleased as it meant that someone read and liked my reviews to think me worthy enough for a paper ARC.
Q: What hyped up book do you think was not worth all the talk?
I wasn't a huge fan of the Hush Hush series or the Fallen series. For something more recent, I liked but didn't drool over Pushing the Limits as much as most other readers. I also wasn't a huge fan of Shatter Me.Now for the Follow Fun!
With GFC going the way of the dodo bird for many bloggers, there is no better time to start following blogs via RSS feed. If you use a reader, it would be great if you followed my RSS directly. We have a new button, so update your blogs if you are used to doing this meme!

Happy Follow Friday! Come back at midnight CST for the Facebook & Twitter hop!!
I barely made it through the first couple chapters of Hush Hush... though the cover of the 4th book is so pretty I kinda want to get back into the series! Also... Fallen. Yup. Not a great read for me either.
ReplyDeleteHaven't read either of those, but I'll take your word for it! :D Thanks for the hop, as always!
ReplyDeleteI have not read the Hush Hush series because I have seen mixed reviews. I agree with Joie above about Fallen, as well. Great cover, not a great read.

I loved Hush Hush! Much better than Fallen, which I actually didn't mind, but I just barely made it through the second Fallen book, and haven't bothered with the third! Can't help but think it would have been better from Daniel's POV! LOVE, LOVE, LOVED Pushing the Limits, though! =D Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteI too, loved Hush Hush!! As for Fallen, I've read all four books and I must say that the third (Passion)was not my favorite.
ReplyDeleteMarilyn
I loved Hush Hush but I couldn't read the Fallen one. I started to read it but I gave up.

ReplyDeleteI think with Pushing The Limits it was a bit of an emotional ride, I didn't drool over it but I really did love the whole story.

I agree with both Hush, Hush and Fallen. I didn't find much to like in either. That's not my answer, though ;) Here's my FF post for this week.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
I haven't checked out Hush Hush but I also didn't get the hype for either Shatter Me or Pushing the Limits. Grats on the feature!
ReplyDeleteI loved those books, :( I am starting to stress at all the book bashing already, lol, too many I love are bashed, can we get a Positive question next week? I hate saying anything bad about books, took me awhile to find one.
ReplyDeleteHere is mine

when I said love them, I meant the fallen and Hush, Hush ones, never read the other 2.
DeleteCan agree with you on all those, except for Hush Hush. That one I did like, but the rest I totally agree on. Those never made it onto my radar.
ReplyDeleteHere's my Follow Friday
Have a GREAT weekend!

I just started Pushing the Limits, loved Hush Hush but haven't read the others. I also didn't get into the fallen series yet. In my opinion, when a book or series gets too hyped up you go into it with huge expectations then get seriously disappointed when it doesn't blow you away.

Is there a particular topic that needs to be covered on Friday for this feature? Or one can stick with the regularly scheduled feature on their blog but mention that it's part of this blog hop?

I enjoyed the others, but I know what you mean about Fallen. I thought the first book was awful so I never continued the series.
