I am thrilled to be a part of Kismet Book Tours' Iron Legends Tours today. It features books by the incredible author Julie Kagawa!!!!
As part of the promotion for Julie upcoming book combining her Iron Fey novellas, Iron Legends, my fellow tour members and I are hosting a great contest. It's up to you to choose which court is the best: Summer, Winter, or Iron. And you also have a change to win a great prize.
The Summer Court has my vote for most awesome fey court. Why you may ask? Partly because Meghan Chase, the heroine of the Never Never is the daughter of King Oberon of the Summer Court. I break down my primary reasons for favoring the Summer Court into two categories: Beauty and Strength.
Beauty beyond belief summarizes the Summer Court well. Colors you've never even imagined. Harmonies, melodies, bells that bring shivers of pleasure up your spine. Scents so incredible that even chocolate chip cookies smell like tar in comparison. The Summer Court is rich and abundant. There's a feeling of fullness. Summer contains every pleasurable sensation and desire. Your heart will be so full that you can practically float with happiness. It is the place of blissful dreams.
Don't let the beauty deceive you into thinking that the Summer Court is weak. As Meghan Chase discovered, abundance can be intimidating and overwhelming, at least at first. Emotions can go haywire - such as feeling compelled to dance for eternity. Colors can be so rich as to be nearly black, plunging you into darkness. The fey of the Summer Court are more than happy, prancing fairies. They are every bit as strong, cunning, manipulative, and violent as the fey of the Winter Court.
The Summer Court provides it all. You can bathe in pleasant warmth and beautiful sensations, but you can also feel assured (or frightened, depending on who you side with) that Summer will use its own vitality against its enemies. Summer has my vote. I hope it has yours too!
Each stop on the Iron Legends tour features a different book or novella of the Iron Fey series. I'm presenting Iron Daughter, the second book in the Iron Fey series.
Half Summer faery princess, half human, Meghan has never fit in anywhere. Deserted by the Winter prince she thought loved her, she is prisoner to the Winter faery queen. As war looms between Summer and Winter, Meghan knows that the real danger comes from the Iron fey—ironbound faeries that only she and her absent prince have seen. But no one believes her.
Worse, Meghan's own fey powers have been cut off. She's stuck in Faery with only her wits for help. Trusting anyone would be foolish. Trusting a seeming traitor could be deadly. But even as she grows a backbone of iron, Meghan can't help but hear the whispers of longing in her all-too-human heart.

Iron Court! It's Meghan and Ash's kingdom and I love technology :)
ReplyDeleteI would do Iron too! Didn't know that was an option! :P Originally said Winter because I love Winter and that was Ash's court originall! :P
ReplyDeleteI am a summer through and through!
ReplyDeleteSummer court?! Love Puck... he's too funny! I want him to be my friend :P
ReplyDeleteOh my God I'm so jealous that you're on this tour lol! I love Winter because Ash is from there, I love Summer because it's always so happy and stuff, but I love the Iron Court because Meghan and Ash are there, PLUS I get technology! I can't choose >.<

ReplyDeleteI am summer!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing I love reading up on everyones different views on why they choose the court they did. It makes it more interesting. Thanks for being a part of this =]
ReplyDeleteOMG! I just want to scream! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the amazing giveaway!
Thank you for being a part of this!
ReplyDeleteI had a difficult time choosing between the courts!
ReplyDeleteThis is an awesome giveaway! I would chose Winter Court, it sounds really pretty. :) Even if Mab is a bit scary...
ReplyDeleteWinter because it's my favorite season and Ash is from there, C:
ReplyDeleteSummer because I love colors and it's my favorite season :)
ReplyDeleteFirst I wanted to choose Winter, because without the the Dark court there would be no Ash, but Iron is my final choice because it encompasses the best of both worlds.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read the books so I chose without knowing the story of each. I chose Winter because it was my favorite of the three choices. I hate being hot so Summer wasn't an option and I'm just not sure about Iron.
ReplyDeleteI chose Iron because I like the modern industrialization of the Iron Fey, even though they are the villains of the series. They are so cool and I wish we knew more about them. Besides, I love robots and cyborgs.
ReplyDeleteI went with Summer because I totally agree with your reasoning above, though I so badly wanted to lean towards winter because of Ash! But winter can be incredibly ruthless, you know?
ReplyDeleteI chose the Winter Court. It is all about the guy. Ash chose to give up everything for Megan. I think the Summer Court is a bit more capricious while the Winter Court seem smuch more serious minded. I like my heroes dark and brooding.

Summer. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI chose the Summer court because I can't stand being cold and all that metal sounds really overwhelming.
ReplyDeleteWinter before Ash left, a bit of yummy there. But now I'd have to say Summer Puck is so cute, I'd chase him anywhere!!
ReplyDeleteIron Court!!! Thanks for the giveaway
ReplyDeleteIm Summer Court cause Puck won me over he's just awesome .. id follow him to the end of the world and back
ReplyDeleteI love winter so I choose Winter Court.
ReplyDeleteWinter court, as I like the cold more, and cant be in the sun, and sexy Ash is from there, not saying I like his mom, lol, But the ice and snow has its beauty too.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cool giveaway. I really want to win! lol
ReplyDeleteWinter. I enjoy cold surroundings. Also because of the eeriness that the winter court brings. :]
ReplyDeleteI chose Iron because I can't survive without my technology.
ReplyDeleteI go between Summer and Iron, even Winter! IDK why not all 3?! lolz
ReplyDeleteI am not fond of the summer, I dont like being out in the hot sun :P
Thanks for the giveaway! =)
ReplyDeleteI chose Summer because I've always been drawn to the Summer court in stories... to be honest your pretty blog background reminds me of the Summer Court... just gorgeous and light and airy.
Well I'd like a foot in all three courts because really they all entertained me and did what I love and want from a book-took me to another world and made me get lost in the story. But if I had to choose, it would be Iron I like who's there. And how can I order new books and blog without my computer??
ReplyDeleteHeather
I would choose Iron because I am too tied up with my techie stuffs to be on Summer or Winter.
ReplyDeleteSummer! Because it's my favourite season and my birthday is in the summer! :)
ReplyDeleteThis one is hard, but I'd say the iron court since I am a contradiction like the court. :)
ReplyDeleteI like iron; it's regal.
ReplyDeleteSummer for me. Warm, carefree, but with a solid core.
ReplyDeleteSummer bc its the most beauitful court!
ReplyDeleteSummer, because the way you described it was so vibrant.
ReplyDeleteI chose Iron! Because of the Iron creatures. And while I considered Winter, I think it might be a little too cold sometimes even for me, Summer and I probably wouldn't mix very well at all. :)
ReplyDeleteAmazing giveaway!! thank you so much! <3333
ReplyDeleteI chose Iron because now our dear Ash lives there huhuhuhu! reason enough to pick that court =999 dont you think? =9
summer! b/c i've just always felt partial to the summer court :)
ReplyDeleteI picked Summer, because it is fun loving.
ReplyDeleteI choose the Winter court because Ash is/was a prince from that court. :)
ReplyDeleteSummer because that's where Puck will be :)
