On Friday June 4, 2010, a new chapter in my life began. Alison Can Read was born!
I started my blog thinking it would be a fun little hobby. I was hoping to make some friends, post some reviews, and maybe get some free books (I won't lie - that was part of my motivation). Here I am two years later with tons of friends, tons of reviews, and the occasional free book. What I figured would be a "little" hobby has become an all-consuming 15-20 hour per week "big" hobby. And I love it!
I am so grateful to all of you who have read my blog, either from the beginning or starting yesterday. This little online journal of mine is only fun because of you. I'm so happy that I've had the chance to meet some of you and hope to meet many more in the future!
It's amazing to realize that as when this post goes live, I will be in New York City at BEA. An entire vacation crafted out of this blog.
