Welcome to the Feature & Follow
Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers -- but you have to know -- the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.
The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee's View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it'll allow us to show off more new blogs!
How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools -- keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them "hi" in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!
What sets this Hop apart from others, is our Feature. Each week we will showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Who is our Feature today? Find out below. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow our Features and you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee & Alison Can Read) as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. A lot of blogs are transitioning to Wordpress in which they do not have the luxury of GFC, so an RSS subscription is appreciated or if you choose an email subscription. If you don't have GFC please state in your post how you would like to be followed.
Our Feature -Justin's Books & Life
Hi, my name's Justin. I'm 22 years old, and I have loved reading since I was young, and what really set me on the path for where I am now was Harry Potter back when it came out in the US in 1998. That series opened up the door for me and showed me how great reading is. I'm so glad I decided to pick them up, and I am glad to be where I am today.
I started blogging simply to share my opinions on books I love to read. And I am loving doing that, and also seeing other peoples opinions on books that I have either read or want to read. It's a really awesome community to be a part of.
Q: Do you read one book at a time or do you switch back and forth between two or more?
*I apologize in advance for the lack of comments this weekend. I'm going to be out of town.
I generally read at least two books at a time. Currently, I have three books and one volume of manga going. That's a bit on the high side, but not that unusual.
Now for the Follow Fun!
With GFC going the way of the dodo bird for many bloggers, there is no better time to start following blogs via RSS feed. If you use a reader, it would be great if you followed my RSS directly.
We have a new button, so update your blogs if you are used to doing this meme!
<a href="http://parajunkee.com/category/ff" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4019/4710921228_e3140444bf_o.png" /></a>
RULES
To join the fun and make new book blogger friends, just follow these simple rules:- (Required) Follow the Follow My Book Blog Friday Hosts {Parajunkee & Alison Can Read}
- (Required) Follow our Featured Bloggers
- Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing. You can also grab the code if you would like to insert it into your posts.
- Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say "hi" in your comments and that they are now following you.
- If you are using WordPress or another CMS that doesn't have GFC (Google Friends Connect) state in your posts how you would like to be followed
- Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don't just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don't say "HI"
- If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love...and the followers
- If you're new to the follow friday hop, comment and let me know, so I can stop by and check out your blog!

Ning @ Reading by Kindle Fire
I think most bloggers read 1-2 on average. Otherwise you might be too burned out. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a safe trip out of town Alison! I'm a one book at a time girl myself.
ReplyDeleteHave a fun trip!
ReplyDeleteI can't read multiple books. It confuses me and since I'm a slow reader it'd just take forever to read one book then.

Totally agree!! I always read multiple books at a time :D
ReplyDeleteI wish I could read a thousand books at a time without confusing myself! Nonetheless, I do prefer to stick to about two as well. Sometimes I have to read five or six books at a time because of deadlines though, which can be a bit hectic.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday everyone!
My FF

Have an awesome weekend!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI read more than one, too. :-) -Burgandy Ice
Well it's quite the same for me, it's difficult to only have more than that. I don't think I ever read 3 books at once.
ReplyDeletehere is mine
I usually can't do more than two, so I get quite impressed with myself if I ever cross over into the 3+ territory. Props that you can keep that many straight in your head at once!
ReplyDeleteThis is my first Feature & Follow Friday, so thank you for hosting! I am very happy to be a part of it.
Love your blog Im a new GFC follower. Thanks

I could never read more than one book at a time, I would get too confused! How on earth do you manage to read four books at a time? That is something I'm jealous of!

I think I am happy with just reading one book at a time. I like putting all my focus into one book so I can give it a fair review!

ReplyDeleteAnd here's FRIDAY FOLLOW
HOLY COW, that's a lot of books! Have fun on your weekend!
ReplyDeleteNereyda @ Mostly YA Book Obsessed

I usually read one book unless there's another book due to the library or publisher soon. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI envy those who can read more than one at a time! I tend to start a few, just so I can get a feel for the story, but then stick to one until the end - it just gets too confusing for me! My reviews would be horrible, lol!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting :) Have a fab weekend!
I usually make my way through one book at a time. Right now, I've got two going because one is the fourth book in the Game of Thrones series which is looooong and kind of boring. So I'm reading others in between.
ReplyDeleteHey Alison! Happy Friday! I hope you have a wonderful weekend :)
ReplyDeleteI also read more than one book at a time.
ReplyDeleteHopping by to say have a great weekend!
