I'm Alison. I've been blogging for almost five months. I review mainly YA with a few MG books and a weekly manga feature.
Currently, I'm in the middle of Harry Pott-ober! Throughout October, I'll be doing my Third Annual Harry Potter Re-Read. Check out my post about it here.
Books Reviewed This Week:
-Reviews are a little light this week. I was in San Diego until yesterday and only had a very slow Internet connection.
Manga Mondays: Oishinbo by Tetsu Kariya and Akira Hanasaki
Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins
Questions of the Week:
Blog Hop: Where is your favorite place to read? I love to read outside in the sun or curled up on the couch in the winter. When I was a kid, my favorite place to read was perched on a 4 foot tall orange tree stump next to our garage. It was small enough to be perfect for a 10 year old, but would probably be really uncomfortable now.
Follow Friday: What are you currently reading? I am reading Keeper by Kathi Appelt and Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire by J.K. Rowling.
And also check out Parajunkee's Follow My Book Blog Friday.
Happy (almost) Friday! Grr...I would LOVE to re-read the Harry Potter series sometime soon. I haven't gotten the chance to do that in ages! Unfortunately, I'm swamped with assigned reading for class. Enjoy the series for the both of us! :)
ReplyDeleteI am already a happy follower. Just stopping by to support you!

Hey! Stopping by via Follow Friday -- I'm a new follower :)
ReplyDeleteI'm another MG/YA lover, so it's cool to discover your blog.
Oh, HP and the Goblet of Fire -- so much nostalgia for that series. And I've heard wonderful things about the richness of Kathy Appelt's writing.
Here's what I'm reading this friday.
Stopping by from the follow. I need to re-read the h.p series too. I think I'm actually missing one book though.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend
Just hopping through! Happy reading :-)
ReplyDeleteCome see what's happening at GReads!
I'm rereading the Harry Potter books as well - I try to before every movie release. I also love to read outside in the sun!
ReplyDeleteYea I find it a lot easier to read with background noise. It took a bit to get use to it but now I read while my kids are playing and we actually have a reading time where me and my oldest each read on the coach together while my youngest plays.. I am also fixing to start rereading the HP series!! I am very excited for the movie to come out.
ReplyDeleteOld follower just hopping by from both hops. Happy Friday!

Every time I come to your blog, I want to reread Harry Potter! You enabler, you. Like I haven't read them enough times, haha. I hope you have an amazing weekend and that you enjoy The Goblet of Fire just as much as the first time!
ReplyDeleteIf you get a chance, check out my blog :)
Thanks for visiting my book hop! I love your reading place as a child. It's so picturesque. I can see it in my mind. Hope you enjoy the Harry-Potter-thon.
ReplyDeleteAs for what I'm reading: Sleepless by Thomas Fahy.
I'm already a follower, for sure, but I hope you're having a happy hop! :)
ReplyDeleteOneida Rez is right outside of Green Bay :) Yup, I am in Packer territory. But I'm not much of what you would can a football fan. Wait, not at all. I much rather watch some sweating soccer players :)

I loved the Harry Potter series: brings back memories of being curled at the bottom of the bed, drinking a cup of hot chocolate while mom read the books to my younger sister. There is always a great place to read a book-as long as it's a good book.

I'm hopping back from a few weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteI tend to read in bed, just because I get cold a lot. I can't imagine reading on a tree stump, but whatever floats your boat I suppose. ;)
Have the best weekend!
